Order Processing Times
Orders placed during normal business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), are typically processed within 1–2 business days, subject to product availability.
Orders placed after business hours, on weekends, or on holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Processing times may vary due to inventory availability, manufacturer backorders, supply-chain delays, high order volume, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Avionics equipment, special-order items, and products requiring programming or configuration may require additional processing time.
Standard Shipping
Top Hat Avionics LLC offers standard shipping for domestic orders within the United States.
Estimated delivery times after shipment:
- Standard Domestic Shipping: 3–5 business days
- Expedited Domestic Shipping: 1–2 business days
Actual delivery times may vary depending on the destination, shipping carrier, product availability, and other factors outside our control.
For high-value orders, Signature Required may be added to the shipment for additional security.
Expedited Shipping
Expedited and express shipping options may be available for an additional fee.

Please note that expedited shipping applies to carrier transit time only and does not reduce manufacturer lead times, backorder periods, programming time, or other product preparation requirements.
International Shipping
International shipping may be available to eligible destinations.
Shipping costs are determined based on the destination, package size and weight, carrier, and selected shipping service.
International customers are responsible for all applicable:
- Import duties
- Customs fees
- Taxes
- VAT
- Brokerage fees
- Other government or carrier-imposed charges
These charges are not included in the product price or shipping charges unless specifically stated otherwise.
International delivery times vary depending on the destination, carrier, and customs processing requirements. Estimated transit times are generally 7–21 business days after shipment, but delays may occur.
Customers are responsible for providing any VAT number, Tax ID, importer information, or other documentation required by their country for customs clearance.
Top Hat Avionics LLC is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, incorrect customer information, failure to provide required import documentation, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Shipping Estimates & Carrier Delays
All processing, shipping, and delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.
Top Hat Avionics LLC is not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, holidays, transportation disruptions, customs processing, incorrect delivery information, natural disasters, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is subject to the carrier’s applicable terms, policies, and operating conditions.
Backorders & Manufacturer Lead Times
Certain avionics equipment, parts, accessories, and other products may be subject to manufacturer availability and lead times.
If an item is backordered, Top Hat Avionics LLC will make reasonable efforts to provide the customer with an estimated availability date when that information is available from the manufacturer or distributor.
Manufacturer and distributor lead times are estimates and may change without notice.
For large-quantity orders, complete avionics packages, special-order equipment, or products with extended lead times, please contact us before ordering.
Special-Order & Configured Avionics Equipment
Certain avionics equipment may be specially ordered, programmed, configured, serialized, or otherwise prepared specifically for a customer’s aircraft or installation.
Special-order, custom-configured, programmed, serialized, or manufacturer-restricted products may be non-returnable or subject to restocking fees, depending on the product and applicable manufacturer or distributor policies.
Customers are responsible for confirming aircraft compatibility and providing accurate aircraft, equipment, and configuration information when placing an order.
Once a special-order or configured item has been ordered from the manufacturer or distributor, cancellation may not be possible.
Lost, Damaged, or Missing Shipments
Customers should inspect all packages and products promptly upon delivery.
If an order arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears to have been damaged during transportation, please contact Top Hat Avionics LLC as soon as possible and retain all original packaging, shipping labels, and damaged materials.
Claims involving lost or damaged shipments may be subject to the shipping carrier’s investigation and claim procedures.
Top Hat Avionics LLC will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with applicable carrier claims.
Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information when placing an order.
Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address, refused shipment, failed delivery attempt, or package rerouting may be the responsibility of the customer.
Returns & Exchanges
Top Hat Avionics LLC is committed to providing high-quality avionics products and professional customer service.
If you are not satisfied with an eligible purchase, returns or exchanges may be accepted within 30 days of delivery, subject to our Return Policy and any applicable manufacturer restrictions.
Certain items, including special-order, programmed, configured, installed, opened, used, or manufacturer-restricted avionics equipment, may not be eligible for return or may be subject to restocking fees.
